You can use the program FRAPS to record R4.



If you choose v.1.9 of FRAPS you won't be able to record sound, and the resolution must be at 640x480.
If you coose FRAPS v.2 you will need to donate money in order to use the full version or else all yoru videos recorded will have a watermark on them, and only be able to record at half size. Plus you can only record 15 second sections, and must wait an additonal 15 sec to record the next part, if you don't have the full version of FRAPS V.2, that is.

Hmm. maybe thats a plan. You can write scripts to do it, rather than an overlay. I'll see what i can do for you. Basically, if you set a command for "key/R4_FRAME+" preference value, that is executed every frame. You can use the standard 'find next available file' command in the script language, but it may be slow so i'd suggest incrementing x.

Anyway, at some point i'll implement this.

AVI out requires a whole load of stuff with streams - i may have a poke with VFW and see if thats easier, but i'm afraid for now thats not high priority
