how to program native DLLs

i'm very new to r4, but like it alot. i'm experienced in graphics programming quite a bit, and like the idea of how your do things and how simple your scripts are (what do you use for script engine b.t.w?)

anyhow i want to program a native input.. basically to put 2d software effects onto a texture live to insert into your scenes.. (where that software would be my own code), and also later a host for freeframe plugins and even visualjockey compositions..

the script engine used is one i made myself - I tried doing R3 with Java and failed miserably - the GC stopped me getting consistent framerates.

As for the DLL structure, I haven't published it publicly, although if you're interested I'll e-mail you a copy of the headers and a short example piece of code. VJ plugins would be very cool - although because data would need to be transferred between the video card and back for each plugin, there would be quite a lot of overhead.

do you do any OpenGL graphics?
