R2E Not starting...

Postby Astro » Wed Nov 05, 2003 6:02 am

Here's the deal... before I reformatted I had no problem with R2E on Windows XP... I format, install the latest Nvidia drivers on my GeForce FX5600 256MB card and try to run R2... no go. I registered, and I put in all my reg info correctly... start the vis, the window comes up but it doesn't initialize anything.... however my logfile shows no errors and it starts up like normal no problems in the logfile. I can't figure out whats going on.... any ideas? :(

Did it work correctly without your registerion information in there?

If teh registering info is wrong it will/may do strange things.

I would uninstall it all to see for sure that the unregistered version works ok.

Interesting.... the unregistered version works. I'm putting in my key just as I got the e-mail reply for my paypal payment and it won't work :( What do I do now?

Sorry - didn't see this thread until a bit late - it may be that you had one or two scenes left over from an old version of R2e - some of the scene format info has changed over time...

No problem hamster, It was just a bit odd thats all. I don't think I had any scenes left over as I had reformatted and did a fresh install. I didn't test it as I've been quite busy lately, but I had some friends over and wanted to leave the computer sit with the viz on for entertainment and it didn't work right away. Just found it odd that it didn't work at first.
