Vidcap doesn't work

I keep getting an error

"Could not render the capture stream. hr=0x80070057"

System specs:

Nvidia Geforce 5700 256mb onboard
Athalon 64 2.0ghz
512mb ram
winblows XP sp2

first you should try to install the newest (1.20) version of r4, if this does not help, post again

Hi

I have installed latest 1.20 version and am getting same error:

"Could not render the capture stream. hr=0x80070057"

then

"Capture video failed"

I am able to stream avi file ok using video.r4.

Video card is Asus Geforce 2 GTS with VIVO, 64M with ASUS V7700 Ti SDRAM V56.55 driver (this driver is the only one I can get the VI working with).

Direct X V9 is installed

Video capture works fine using other apps and the VIVO on VGA card is the 1st and only capture device.

any suggestions?

I have since discovered Vidplay.r4 and set to use capture + turned on logging and module is laoding but no video image. Video is connected to the nVidia WDM device and is viewable using other apps but just black screen. As previopusly mentioned .avi playback works fine.

I seem to be getting the same issue but I am using the most recent beta. I was able to get the vidplay to work but I'm still having trouble with vidcap?

A thought. Can Vidplay and vidcap be used or only one or the other?

eg. Vidcap on one camera vidplay on another?
